There are a number of ways in which you can support the work of QUAIL.
Perhaps the easiest, but not the least of which is to donate. You
can donate by mail or on-line. Mail-in donations can be sent to:
QUAIL
9, ch. Bois-Joli
Chelsea, QC J9B 1J9.
On-line donations can be made through a secure connection on the
Canada Helps web site. See the right side window for more.
Operating Costs
QUAIL's annual operating budget is $155,000. Because the Board
of QUAIL is completely volunteer, administrative operational costs
are only 2% of our total budget. The majority (77%) of our costs
is for resident care and is covered by financial support from Pavillon
du Parc. However, 23% of our annual budget must be made up by
our fundraising and donation revenue.
Investments
With our goal of life-long support for our residents, we have made
investments in GICs, Blue Chip stocks and Investment Savings. We
have also started an endowment with the Ottawa Community Foundation.
Donations can be made to our Endowment fund.
Jam
One of the more delicious initiatives to arise within the community
has been the jams, jellies, chutneys and pickles made in support
of QUAIL. The kitchen is licensed, inspected and the resulting creations
have become staples in homes around the community. Our jams are
sold at the Wakefield Market, the Vorlage Craft Fair (http://www.skivorlage.com/)
and at numerous community events in the Gatineau Hills. If you haven't
tried them, it's time you did; you are in for a treat.
- The Wakefield Farmer's Market Runs Saturday mornings, May 29
- Thanksgiving. It is located beside the Alpengruss on Riverside
Road, Wakefield

Events
Another way to support QUAIL is to come out to one of our events.
Please see the events page for more details.
Volunteer
Finally you can also volunteer your time. Our fundraising committee
would welcome your call and our residents would also welcome your
one-on-one attention, reading, walking, etc... See volunteer
page for more. Please be advised that we are required to ask
for certain checks and clearances.
