A variety of QUAIL-sponsored annual events help us meet our financial obligations while bringing together family and friends to celebrate the commitment our community has made to our developmentally challenged friends.

QUAILing at the Black Sheep

This is a family night at the Black Sheep. Bring the whole family and friends for dinner and a live show: chilli, garlic bread and hot dogs. For tickets contact: Melanie Hopkins boyfriend Mike at 819-Get-Booty. Tickets also available at door.

Spaghetti Dinner

La Vallee Restaurant has generously offered to host a Spaghetti Dinner in support of QUAIL. It will take place on Saturday, April 2 between 5 and 7 pm. Tickets will be $10. There will be a 50/50 raffle and jams will be on sale.

Garage Sale

We will be having a garage sale on 28 May 2011 from 8-noon at The Wakefield Express, which is at the corner of Riverside and Elmdale .

Family Fun Day

The Family Fun Day was a new event in 2010. It will take place June 19, 10 am - 2 pm this year. It will be at the Chelsea Community Centre. More details to follow.

Strawberry Social

As always this annual event proved to be an enjoyable afternoon for all those who came out to sample the delicious strawberry shortcake and whipped cream. The children soon sported colourful cheeks thanks to the face painter and everyone enjoyed the musician. Because all the ingredients are donated, thanks to Charles IGA, the Vandenberg family and the shortcake makers, all the donations go to QUAIL.

BBQ

The BBQ was new in 2010. This year it will be on July 30 at the IGA in Farm Point.

Dinner at L'Orée du Bois -- Audrey Jessup Memorial Dinner

This event was named after a lady who was one of the main forces in the creation of QUAIL and a generous benefactor. It is usually a big success. L'Oree du Bois has always provided a wonderful menu and generously kept their price the same for some years. Almost 100 of us sit down and enjoy the dinner and the catching up with friends and support QUAIL in the process.

Vorlage Christmas Craft Fair

Come visit us at the Vorlage Christmas Craft Fair November 5th to 6th, 10 am to 4 pm. Gills jams and jellies, and our raffle tickets will be available.

Christmas Craft Fair

This annual event is held at the Chelsea Elementary School on the first Saturday in December. It is a chance for people to stock up on Christmas gifts from local artisans. In the last couple years, it has been held on the same day as Santa's Breakfast, which means many parents get a chance to come and browse.
