Approval for residents typically occurs in the following way. A client is proposed to Pavillon du Parc by a health and social services centre (CSSS) or an internal body of Pavillon du Parc. The client is then approved by the regional access section of Pavillon, which then places the client in the appropriate care facility.
When a request for placement reaches the QUAIL Board, two considerations
are paramount. First, the Board ensures that there is a match with
those already resident at QUAIL House and second, they ensure the
level of care and quality of living for all residents can be maintained.
A trial period is usually recommended to ensure compatibility.
