QUAIL  Quebec Association for Independent Living,

Background

The Association was started by a group of concerned citizens and received its charter as a non-profit organization in 1993. Through the Pavillon du Parc Foundation, funds were received from the Société d'habitation du Québec and a house was purchased at 9, chemin Bois Joli, Chelsea (Québéc). The house is ideally set up to accommodate up to 6 clients and their two caregivers.

There are currently four permanent residents, from the local area, with two additional residents pending. The first residents moved in on June 1st, 1994, together with their caregivers.

If you are interested in volunteering either to work with the residents or to assist QUAIL in other ways, please contact any member of the QUAIL BOARD. QUAIL depends on community support and on its volunteers.

You can demonstrate your support by becoming a "Member of QUAIL".  If you make a charitable donation you will receive a receipt for income tax purposes, the QUAIL newsletter, and notices of QUAIL sponsored events. 

If you wish to make a further contribution or would like more information about QUAIL or the Endowment Fund, any of our Board Members would be pleased to hear from you.
